Next, answer the following questions in you post.
- What do you see from his behavior or infer from what he says that supports the possibility that the client has a personality disorder? (Note: Think about what defines a personality disorder when answering the question. How is a personality disorder a bit different from other types of psychological disorders.)
- Based on what you see and hear, what personality disorder would you diagnose him with? Make sure you justify your diagnosis by citing specific symptoms listed in the textbook along with what you observed that matched with those symptoms.
- If you were a clinician, what treatment would you provide this client? Make sure you choose a treatment that research indicates works for the disorder you are diagnosing the client with. If no evidence-based treatment exists, be creative and use what we’ve learned in class thus far to design a treatment that you think might be effective for this client and justify your choice.
