Trade War with China. You will get your last chance to complete one of your required two op-ed grades this week by answering the question: “Should the USA raise tariffs and engage in a ‘trade war’ with China?” This was the question that was scheduled at the beginning of the semester, but I realize that it has taken on an entirely new dimension with the outbreak of the Coronavirus, with many people demanding that we reduce our ‘reliance’ on Chinese manufacturing. That said, I don’t want you to frame your entire op-ed in terms of the Coronavirus outbreak. This controversy long predates it.

Please make sure it is double spaced, includes your name on the top-left corner, is properly cited using APA format (ideally you should have 3-5 references; they can include news articles, research papers, books, etc.), and draws from sound economic arguments.
